Liberty Ridge Farms Sunflower Session Details

Happy Summer!

Thank you for showing interest in my 2022 Sunflower Sessions! I am so excited to be able to offer these for the second year in a row and I can’t wait for all of the wonderful friends and families I will be meeting and seeing in front of my camera. Before our session, please fill out the questionnaire at the bottom of this page so I can better gauge your expectations, ideas, and goals for your session and get to know you and your peeps a little better before the shoot. Preparation and communication are the keys to a successful photoshoot, so make sure to share all your ideas and concerns with me on your questionnaire! If you would like to share some example photos, a Pinterest board, and/or poses you like, feel free to email that information to me prior to the session at hollycapassophotography@gmail.com.

As we prepare for your session, here is some information about what to expect:

Location

Your session well be held at Liberty Ridge Farms, located at 29 Bevis Rd, Schaghticoke, NY 12154. Click “view larger map” in the map to the right and input your start location for directions to the location.

I will be meeting you and your sunflower-ready party out in front of the sunflower area. Please text/call me at (585) 506-7173 when you arrive so we meet up with each other. I may be with another party at the time, but I will respond as soon as I’m done!

As these sessions run back to back with others, so please arrive on time with you and your family ready to photo. If you’d like to arrive early to check out the scene, please feel free to do so!

Session Tips and Details

The owners of this farm have graciously allowed us to take pictures on their property with their sunflowers. They request that we please be mindful of their property and do not harm or pick any sunflowers. I will have a bloom of sunflowers for you to use and keep after the session. There is a location permit fee to use this farm as our backdrop, which is included in the session investment.
During your session time, the sunflower fields is closed to the general public; however, there will be other photographers with their clients there during that time so please be respectful of them. There is plenty of field there to work with so we shouldn’t have any issues running into others!
Leashed, friendly dogs are allowed. If there is another pet you would like to bring, please let me know so I can contact the farm for approval prior to arrival.
Liberty Ridge Farm reserves the right to remove any patrons or clients whose pets cause a disturbance or are deemed unruly. Please be respectful of the flowers, other people, and each other.
BUUUZZZZZ! Watch out for those bees!!! Sunflower and bees go hand-in-hand so if you or anyone in your party is allergic to bees, please bring an epi pen/medicine incase a you run into a bee having a bad day and they take it out on you.
Make sure everyone uses the bathroom before the session so that no time is wasted for bathroom breaks. There are bathrooms to use on the farm premises. If you are traveling from a far distance, try to arrive a little early so that you can answer mother natures call before the session starts.
These sessions will take place in the evening, so if you booked a later session and you have small kids, you might want to give them a late day nap to make sure they are up and still going for the session.
Feel free to bring props! Ex. blanket to sit or snuggle in, hats, accessories, etc. The farm has a few props/swings/benches scattered across the sunflower area that we can also use.
Come in relaxed and ready to smile, be silly, and have fun!

Rain Dates

In the case of inclement weather, the Wednesday, August 24th date will be rescheduled to the following day - Thursday, August 25th.

Payment

After receiving your questionnaire, I will send you the session contract and invoice via e-mail. The session fee of $225 and signed contract are due prior to or at your session. All session fees and additional photo can be paid by cash, check, Venmo (@Holly-Capasso) or a credit card. If you’d wish to pay by cash or check, please bring with you to your session. Venmo or credit card payments can be done anytime between now and the day of the session.

After the Session

Once your session is over you'll receive a digital proof gallery with minorly (not-fully) edited images from you session within the first few days after the session. You will then get to select the 20 images that you’d like work my magic and me to fully edit. Fully edited galleries will then be available approximately 2-4 weeks following the selection of images. From the gallery, you'll be able to view and download your images. You will have two sets of images that you can download: High Resolution (Use for ordering any physical prints) and Social Media (best resolution for sharing via the internet). I will also link each gallery to my professional lab that I work with (WHCC) for the option to order prints/canvas right from your gallery. You will also be provided a print release so you can also download your high resolution digital images and take to any printing lab of your choice.

Therefore, if you choose to utilize Holly Capasso Photography services and premises you may be exposing yourself to and/or increasing your risk of contracting or spreading COVID-19.
