Happy Summer!

I want to thank you for signing up for my Sacandaga Lake Mini Session! Before our session, please fill out the questionnaire at the bottom of this page so I can better gauge your expectations, ideas, and goals for your session and get to know you and your family a little better before the shoot. Preparation and communication are the keys to a successful photoshoot, so make sure to share all your ideas and concerns with me on your questionnaire! If you would like to share some example photos, a Pinterest board, and/or poses you like, feel free to email that information to me prior to the session at hollycapassophotography@gmail.com.

As we prepare for your session, here is some information about what to expect:

Location and Timing

The mini session well be held on a small beach on Sacandaga Lake. See map to the right for exact location. Click the link below and input your start location for directions to the location:

The pull off to the small parking area (on the right of the road) is approximately 1 mile west down South Shore Road (County Route 7) after the intersection with West Mountain Road (right before a sharp left turn in the road). I will meet you in that parking lot prior to the session.

As these are short sessions and may run back to back with others, please arrive on time with you and your family ready to photo. If you’d like to arrive early to check out the scene, please feel free to do so!

Session Tips and Details

There is very little cell service out in the area of the shoot, so please be sure to click on the map above if you need driving directions to the location. It is set for the exact coordinates so that it will accurately take you there!
If you family likes water, and you’d want some shots in it, bring some towels and an extra chance of clothes for the aftermath. The water is relatively shallow at the shore, but drops down pretty quickly. We will get the shots in the water as the last part of the photoshoot!
There are no bathrooms at this location (and no public areas nearby), so please do your business before you leave for the shoot! There are some Stewart’s Shops in Hadley and Corinth nearby that can be used if needed, but both locations are a good 10 mins away from the beach site, so try to hit those up before your session!
The beach has areas of large rocks areas of sandy/gravel beach that we can work with.
These sessions will take place in the evening, so if you are booking a later session and you have small kids, you might want to give them a late day nap to make sure they are up and still going for the session.
Feel free to bring props! Ex. blanket to sit or snuggle in, hats, accessories, etc.
Get your family excited for the session and let them know how much fun it will be, but no need to over prepare them or add too much pressure for "best behavior".
Our best behaved children (and adults for that matter) are usually those that are well fed before our session. Feel free to bring treats to reward good behavior during our session!

Payment

After receiving your questionnaire, I will send you the session contract and invoice via e-mail. The session fee of $125 and signed contract are due prior to or at your session. Additional images can be purchased for $10 per image or $85 for the entire rest of the gallery (typically about 20-25 photos). All session fees and additional photo can be paid by cash, check, Venmo or a credit card.

After the Session

Once your session is over you'll receive a digital gallery with edited images from the within 2-4 weeks. From the gallery, you'll be able to choose your 8 images to download and select additional images for purchase, if you so choose.
